The Walnut is the primary timber species in the tradition of Venetian art furniture, thus this wood holds a prominent place in our production. Walnut with a capital 'W', in the varieties European Walnut (Juglans Regia) and American Walnut (Juglans Nigra), the only ones we consider. Other wood types commonly referred to as 'walnut' (e.g., Tanganika walnut, Tulipwood walnut,...) are not part of the European and American walnut family; they are distinct wood types with different characteristics and lower commercial value.
Also, Cherrywood, aesthetically 'warmer' than walnut, is primarily used for producing antique-style wooden furniture; we also use Oak and Elm.
