Solid national walnut refectory table. The top is crafted from a single, 10 cm thick slab, a monolithic board (not multiple planks glued together), meticulously sourced from the grand trunk of a centuries-old walnut tree. The edges have been deliberately left natural, following the organic contours of the trunk, creating a live edge aesthetic. Finished with a classic walnut stain polish, featuring a hand-planed, heavily distressed surface. Certain knots and natural fissures have been meticulously filled with epoxy resin. The simple trestle bases and central stretcher are crafted from national walnut. Approximate dimensions (variable due to the irregular shape of the top): length approximately 195/205 cm, consistent 10 cm thickness across the entire top, minimum width at the center approximately 84 cm, maximum width approximately 110 cm, overall finished height 81 cm, trestle leg section 24x15 cm, and trestle leg base 80x20 cm. This table is, by its very nature, not reproducible, making it a truly unique piece. We also have available another similar single slab, 10 cm thick, sourced from the same tree and still in its raw state, which can be utilized for crafting another refectory table or a bespoke desk.

Important Note: wood is a 'living' and natural material that continues to evolve even after its biological end. Any minor cracks that may appear in solid wood components (as is common in antique and original furniture) are not to be considered imperfections or a result of poor craftsmanship. The same applies to small knots and variations in grain, which instead attest to the naturalness of the material used and render the furniture unique and valuable.
Wood is capable of constantly adapting its moisture content to the surrounding environment: for optimal preservation of furniture, an environment with approximately 60% humidity and a temperature of 20°C is recommended, avoiding excessive fluctuations.
