MV58 - Pair of restored antique solid walnut beds

Antique single beds, early 19th century, made of solid walnut with parts of the headboard and footboard veneered in walnut. Saber legs with raised plinth, molded and head-worked upper frames (vertical grain), one shaped side and one straight side (the sides are also in solid walnut). Originally these two beds were used as a full double bed, with a double central side (the two smooth, non-shaped sides); it is possible to restore the double bed by placing the two beds together and removing a small portion of the shaped frame in the headboard and footboard so as not to have empty central spaces. Dimensions of a single sunbed: max overall dimensions 202x98 cm, max headboard height 131 cm, max footboard height 90 cm, internal space for bed base 85x190 cm.
